BUILDING BRIDGES ACROSS DIFFERENCES

(BBAD)

Building Bridges Across Differences (BBAD) is a project about how the African community in Windsor-Essex, Ontario can develop partnerships with other organizations as well as the mainstream Canadian community, with the overall goal of building ACOW’s capacity. The project aimed to improve understandings of the African community in Windsor-Essex through steering committee meetings, community focus groups, and community forums.

 STEERING COMMITTE MEMBERS

The steering committee is a group of individuals from partner organizations that participated in writing the approved grant application for the BBAD project. The steering committee had thirteen (13) meetings throughout the project in order to manage efficiently and contribute to the project's outlines and its deliverables.

FOCUS GROUPS

Focus groups consisted of 61 individuals of different age groups starting from 12 years of age, organized into different groups to participate in session discussions. Participants were recruited and 10 focus groups were organized by ACOW and the project partners to participate in the discussions.
